Le Havre

Le Havre was established by King Francis l of France in 1517 but unfortunately almost 80% of the town including the port was destroyed during World War ll. Visitors can discover how the city centre has been re-built and why Le Havre has been listed as one of UNESCO's world heritage sites. LD Lines operates services to Le Havre from both Portsmouth and Newhaven on the south coast of England.

There is plenty to see and do in Le Havre with Coty shopping centre, restaurants, cafes and open air markets three times a week along with having great access roads to Paris and Rennes.

Getting to Le Havre:

Normandy Bridge links the rest of the country to Le Havre. There exist in Le Havre, two ferry terminals; the British terminal is very close to the bus stations and railway station.
