Folkestone
The Eurotunnel passenger service operates from Folkestone running through the tunnel to Calais. They have up to 4 trains an hour departing 24 hours a day which take cars, coaches, vans and freight.
Folkestone is a coastal town in the South East of England with pebble beaches a small fishing harbour and good shopping in the town centre. It formerly had a cross channel service to Boulogne but now only Eurotunnel takes you to France from just outside the town. There are big plans in place to redevelop the harbour and seafront which will put Folkestone back on the map as a tourist attraction. Visitors could combine a trip to the coast with a day at the races as Folkestone racecourse operates all year round.
The Eurotunnel terminal is situated just off the M20 by taking junction 11a and following the signs to check in.
